Meet Sarah

A mom. A military spouse. A writer. An advocate.


I have often heard that my role is to “keep the home fire burning,” allowing my husband the freedom to serve. I have often seen spouses fall into the rut of that role and lose the fire within themselves. I am here to advocate for spouses to not only maintain that fire but also help them reignite their dreams and create realistic paths toward achievement within the constraints of military life. As someone in the trenches, trying and failing, this is a safe space for others to take those same steps.

Like I shared on Monday, last week was a hell week. It was truly awful, and I am just glad that it is behind me. But in every moment, no matter how bad things got, there was something to be grateful for. This post is not to shame anyone for not finding gratitude in their situations.
