Making Multiple Dreams Come True At Once
So, how exactly does one go about having five dreams come true within the span of a week? Well, first, it starts with having five dreams. It’s hard to make that many come true if we don’t have them to begin with. But the reality is that we need more than five dreams. We talked about it months ago, but I want to revisit our list of 100 dreams.
I believe 100 is an important number of dreams to have. Getting to 100 is hard, so we must dig deep to figure out what we really want. It also means that we have to accept those surface-level dreams that we often dismiss as silly. Dreams come in all shapes and sizes, and we should never discredit one simply because it isn’t “inspiring” enough. I believe there is power in forcing ourselves to make a list of 100, and with that power comes the ability to make multiple dreams come true at once.
When we have so many dreams, they chart different lines for us to achieve them. But more often than not, some of those lines intersect. Going to Ireland meant more than just a dream come true of Ireland. It obviously crossed with going international with my husband and kissing the Blarney Stone. Staying in a castle was definitely going to happen in Europe, and Ireland had a good number to choose from, which I didn’t automatically expect. And then it crossed paths in surprising ways with seeing James Acaster. I fully expected that dream to come true at a random venue in the U.S. Those lines don’t end, though; they keep going to produce new dreams.
It’s been six months since I last made my list of 100 dreams. As I’ve said before, we shouldn’t have to go years or decades without achieving a dream. Six months is a good metric to check back in with our lists. I think we’ll be surprised to see what we’ve achieved. We should keep our dreams in front of us daily, but we will always focus on a select few. Those are the ones we prioritize and write affirmations off of. But we have this list so that when those dreams come true, we can pivot to a new dream. And so that we are prepared for the unexpected overlap. So here’s my list again if you need some inspiration for yours, and I’ve checked off the dreams that have come true while writing my new ones in the space they leave behind because there is always more out there.
